Web Search
Web Search allows InfuseOS to find current information from the internet. When enabled, the AI can search for real-time data, news, and up-to-date facts.

Enabling Web Search
Web Search is toggled per-conversation:
- Look for the globe icon in the input area
- Click to toggle web search on/off
- When enabled, the icon is highlighted

When to Use Web Search
Good Use Cases
- Current events: "What happened in the news today?"
- Real-time data: "What's the current stock price of Apple?"
- Recent information: "What are the latest features in React 19?"
- Fact-checking: "Is this claim accurate?"
- Research: "Find recent studies about remote work productivity"
When Not Needed
- Personal tasks using your integrations (Gmail, Calendar, etc.)
- Working with your saved memory content
- General knowledge questions
- Creative writing tasks
Tip: Only enable web search when you need current information. This saves credits and keeps responses focused.
How It Works
When you send a message with web search enabled:
- Query formulation: The AI determines what to search for
- Web search: Searches multiple sources across the internet
- Content retrieval: Fetches relevant content from top results
- Synthesis: Combines information into a coherent response
- Citation: Includes source links for verification

Search results include a sources panel showing:
- Website name and favicon
- Page title
- Brief snippet
- Link to original source

Limitations
- Rate limits: Very frequent searches may be throttled
